Ingredients:

For the Hotmess Super Gong Sauce Tofu Patty:

  • 400g firm tofu cut into 4 slices
  • 3 tablespoons corn flour
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil

For the Sriracha Mayo:

  • 1/4 cup Kewpie mayo
  • 2 tablespoons Sriracha sauce (adjust to taste)

For the Slaw:

  • 2 cups shredded cabbage (green or purple or both)
  • 1 carrot, grated
  • 1/4 cup chopped cilantro
  • 2 tablespoons rice vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1 teaspoon honey or brown sugar
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

For Assembly:

  • 4 burger buns, toasted
  • Sriracha mayo
  • 4 tbsp of Hotmess Super Gong sauce 
  • Slaw mixture
  • 4 tofu patties 

Instructions:

Prepare the Gong Sauce Tofu Patty:

  • Cut the pressed and drained tofu into four equal-sized patties.
  • In a bowl, toss the tofu patties with corn flour.
Cook the Tofu Patties:
  • Heat vegetable oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
  • Once hot, add the coated tofu patties to the skillet.
  • Cook for 3-4 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and caramelised. Remove from heat and place on plate and cover both sides with the Hotmess Super Gong Sauce.
Make the Sriracha Mayo:
  • In a small bowl, mix together Kewpie mayo and Sriracha sauce until well combined. Adjust Sriracha sauce to your preferred level of spiciness. Set aside.
Prepare the Slaw:
  • In a large bowl, combine shredded cabbage, grated carrot, chopped cilantro, rice vinegar, soy sauce, sesame oil, honey or brown sugar, salt, and pepper. Toss until everything is well coated. Adjust seasoning to taste.
Assemble the Burgers:
  • Spread a generous amount of Sriracha mayo on the bottom half of each toasted burger bun.
  • Place a Gong sauce tofu patty on top of the mayo.
  • Top the tofu patty with a generous portion of slaw mixture.
  • Close the burgers with the top halves of the toasted buns.

Serve and Enjoy:
