Hotmess Super Gong sauce Dumplings

Ingredients:

For the filling:

  • 400 gr minced pork (you can also use minced chicken)
  • 2 cups finely chopped cabbage
  • 2-3 green onions, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon grated ginger
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 3 tablespoon  Hotmess Super Gong sauce ( Stir-fry)
  • Salt and pepper to taste

For assembling:

  • Dumpling wrappers (you can find these at most Asian grocery stores)

For dipping sauce:

  • 6 tablespoons Hotmess Super Gong sauce
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil

Instructions:

Prepare the filling:
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground pork, chopped cabbage, green onions, garlic, ginger, sesame oil, Gong sauce, salt, and pepper. Mix well until everything is evenly incorporated.

Assemble the dumplings:

  • Take a dumpling wrapper and place about a tablespoon of filling in the center.
  • Moisten the edges of the wrapper with water, then fold the wrapper over the filling to create a half-moon shape. Press the edges firmly to seal the dumpling, making sure there are no air pockets.
  • You can leave the dumplings as half-moons or pleat the edges for a decorative touch. Repeat with the remaining filling and wrappers.
Cook the dumplings:
  • There are several ways to cook dumplings: you can boil, steam, or pan-fry them. Here's how to do each method:
  • Boiling: Bring a large pot of water to a boil. Carefully add the dumplings and cook until they float to the surface, about 3-4 minutes. Remove with a slotted spoon and drain.
  • Steaming: Place the dumplings in a single layer in a steamer basket lined with parchment paper or cabbage leaves. Steam for about 6-8 minutes, until the filling is cooked through.
  • Pan-frying: Heat some oil in a non-stick skillet over medium heat. Add the dumplings in a single layer and cook until the bottoms are golden brown, about 2-3 minutes. Then, add about 1/4 cup of water to the skillet, cover, and steam the dumplings until the water evaporates and the wrappers are cooked through, about 5-6 minutes.
Make the dipping sauce:
  • In a small bowl, mix together the Hotmess Super Gong sauce and sesame oil.
Serve:
  • Transfer the cooked dumplings to a serving plate and serve hot with the Hotmess Super Gong sauce dipping sauce on the side.
Enjoy your delicious Hotmess Super Gong sauce dumplings! They make a fantastic appetiser or main course for any occasion.
