Serves 4

Ingredients:

  • 4 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 2 pounds chicken breast, thinly sliced
  • 6-8 cloves garlic, minced
  • 4 cups broccoli florets
  • 1 1/2 cups Hotmess Super Gong Sauce (Stir-fry) (adjustable for desired sauciness)
  • Kewpie mayonnaise, for garnish
  • Dragon Phoenix Asian Fried Shallots, for garnish
  • Sesame seeds, for garnish
  • Jasmine rice, for serving (about 2 cups uncooked rice)

Instructions:

Prepare the Ingredients:

  • Thinly slice the chicken breast.
  • Mince the garlic cloves.
  • Cut the broccoli into small florets.
  • Have the Hotmess super gong sauce, Kewpie mayonnaise, Dragon Phoenix Asian Fried Shallots, sesame seeds, and cooked jasmine rice ready.

Cook Jasmine Rice:

  • Follow the cooking instructions on the back of the jasmine rice package to cook about 2 cups of rice, yielding approximately 4 cups of cooked rice.

Caramelize Chicken with Hotmess Super Gong Sauce (Stir-fry), Garlic:

  • Heat 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.
  • Add the minced garlic to the skillet and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  • Add the thinly sliced chicken breast to the skillet and cook until it starts to brown, about 5-7 minutes.
  • Sprinkle sesame seeds over the chicken and continue to cook for another 2-3 minutes.
  • Pour the Hotmess Super Gong Sauce (Stir-fry) over the chicken and garlic, stirring continuously to coat the chicken evenly.
  • Let the chicken cook in the sauce for another 10 minutes, stirring occasionally, allowing it to caramelize and absorb the flavours of the sauce.

Add Broccoli:

  • Once the chicken is fully caramelized, add the broccoli florets to the skillet.
  • Stir well to combine everything, ensuring the broccoli is coated in the sauce.
  • Cook for an additional 4-5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the broccoli is tender-crisp.

Serve:

  • Serve the stir-fry hot with cooked jasmine rice.
  • Garnish each serving with a drizzle of Kewpie mayonnaise, a sprinkle of Dragon Phoenix Asian Fried Shallots, and a sprinkle of sesame seeds.

Tips:

  • Adjust the amount of Hotmess super gong sauce (Stir-fry) according to your taste preferences.
  • Be careful not to overcook the broccoli; it should be vibrant green and still have a bit of crunch.
  • Serve the stir-fry immediately to enjoy it at its best.
